In the hope that this will fix the problem for other as well (use a pop-up blocker there): Since now I know how to do it (and this injector works with almost all the games for more than 2 cores), I've uploaded myself the required files with a readme to the YouTube video that gives a more detailed tutorial. I tested the described method and now I can play the game, with a bit of lag, but playable at least. But I ended up getting the required files from another places.
Sadly the links from a YouTube video were all full of ads, and at the end all were dead or removed. You were right about the 4 cores, but after looking into that specific matter a bit more I finally got a page that explained that was possible to play with only 2 cores to this game using an injector.
